• This was released on Hendryx' first solo album - she was previously a member of Labelle. Hendryx wrote many of Labelle's songs, and composed this track as well. She explained in I Got Thunder: Black Women Songwriters and Their Craft: "That's sort of a mourning prayer. I'm a huge fan of science fiction and I drew from that when writing that song. In the song, I'm looking for someplace in the future where a lot of the things that plague us as a people won't be an issue anymore. I'm searching for a time when we can reach a different place as a people. When I wrote that song I was at a point in my life where I really needed to go forward, because you know it's very easy to get mired in what has been created by people who may not be thinking or living on a higher vibration. We get caught up in the sort of day-to-day treadmill and the things that are posited as important, which really aren't at all, and before you know it you've forgotten where you were headed."
