  • "God Went North" finds vocalist Jonny Hawkins detailing his late mother's terminal illness. He told Kerrang in a 2019 interview that it's the song that he's most proud of writing.

"She had a long battle with cancer, and dealing with the death of a loved one was one of the most difficult feelings," he said. "Especially as it was slow, it wasn't a quick death. You reach a point where you want the person to be at peace, but you don't want them to die, so you feel torn. It was painful and difficult to finish, but I felt closure when it was done."
