Songfacts®:

  • This is an additional track on the Limited Yearbook Edition of One Direction's debut album, Up All Night. English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran wrote the song. Speaking with Metro Lyrics, One Direction's Niall Horan said of The A Team singer: "We're quite good friends with Ed. We always hang out with him. If you listen to Ed's album, you'll know that he is one of the best lyricists I've ever heard in my life. He knows how to string words together like you wouldn't imagine. We were very lucky to work with him."
  • Sheeran commented to Billboard magazine regarding One Direction's rendition of his acoustic ballad: "It was a personal song about a relationship that I was in that I think they made their own."
