Songfacts®:

  • Adam Young (Owl City) draws on his Christian faith for musical inspiration - the album title All Things Bright and Beautiful is a reference to an Anglican hymn. In Christianity, angels are spiritual beings God created for His service, and are primarily His messengers. They are spirits that always appear in human form; God uses angels to deliver his people from affliction and danger.

Regarding this song, Young told us, "I've never had a Lifetime movie encounter with an angel but I definitely do believe they exist and I wanted to write a song to touch on that belief."
