  • Paul Weller doesn't know how it came up with the title track to his twelfth album. "Saturn's Pattern just kind of comes from outer space," he said. "It's kind of got a little bit of funk in it, but it's music that I haven't possibly heard of - it's pretty original, I think."
  • "Saturn's Pattern" takes its name from a hexagonal-shaped wind on the north side of the ringed planet. Though the expression had no deeper meaning when he first heard it, Weller ran with the idea. "I liked the sound of the words. They are intriguing," he told The Sun. "I'll probably keep it as a metaphor for our own planet... And let's not destroy it and destroy each other."
  • Weller gave credit to producer Stan Kybert for this track. He told Uncut: "He took some stuff we'd jammed one night and cut it up and reassembled it. It sounded really different when I heard it. It puts us in a different place."
