Songfacts®:

  • This was the first single released from American rock band Phish's fourteenth studio album Joy. It was their first single release in five years since "Connection" in 2004.
  • This was originally a multi-movement work for strings, guitar, and vocals released as an album by guitarist Trey Anastasio. Pianist Page McConnell explained to Billboard magazine: "It's a piece that he wrote for an orchestral arrangement and played for a couple of different symphonies around the country. We recorded it in a really cool way that I enjoyed. Steve [Lillywhite, producer] had some really good ideas about how to record that song and I think it's through his production that it came to life."
