  • Born on the US island of Guam, singer-songwriter Pia Mia first gained popularity for her cover of Drake's 2013 single "Hold On We're Going Home." The following year Mia signed an multi-album deal with American record label Interscope.
  • This song was inspired by a concert Mia went to on Guam when she was visiting family and friends. "I was back home for a while, I and went to a J-Boog concert," she recalled to Artist Direct. "He performed a song called 'Let's Do It Again.' I fell in love with the song."

"When I came back to LA, I was working with Nic Nac, and I thought how much I would like to re-do a popular reggae song and make it more rhythmic pop—more my style," Mia continued. "It's crazy as I have been hearing it on the radio, and it comes on randomly during the day, while I'm driving. It really is the best feeling."
  • The song features Chris Brown and Tyga. Mia recalled: "I was in a Nic Nac session with Chris Brown and Tyga. During the session, 'Do It Again' got played, and they both loved it. They both wanted to record on it and, of course, I said, 'Yes.' Both of them killed it, and the end result was amazing."
