Songfacts®:

  • When this song debuted on the Adult Alternative Songs tally dated November 12, 2016 at #30, it marked The Pixies' first Billboard airplay chart appearance since "Head On" peaked at #6 on Alternative Songs back in 1992.
  • The video was directed by Pixies bassist Paz Lenchantin, and was made using stop-motion. It features three friends singing along to the song in a car as a devilish pianist, who is played by Lenchantin's father Mario Merdirossian, bashes away at the instrument. The three women in the car are Hannah Vandermolen (driver), Adelaide Crocker (middle seat) and Virginia Rand (red lips).

Lenchantin said regarding the creative process in making the video. "Mephistopheles, the mocking and sarcastic devil behind every classic masher … Besides that, who doesn't like a talking piano?"
