Songfacts®:

  • Harvey told The Sun March 26, 2009 that after she'd finished writing songs for her 2007 White Chalk album, she was running through all the songs she'd never done anything with and came across this one. She added: "I was in Los Angeles at the time and I remember ringing John and saying 'we have to do something with this song'. It seemed appropriate to put it at the front of the album because it was the catalyst for the rest of the pieces. I like the way it's so positive and uplifting."
