• Pink trades lyrics with Lily Rose Cooper on this track, which finds the pair singing about the frustrations of falling in love. It was the first song that the artist formerly known as Lily Allen has appeared on under her new married name. The pair recorded their verses separately. "I met her for the first time after the song was recorded, but I'm a super fan of hers," Pink told Capital FM. She added: "I just met her for the first time when she came and sang that song with me on VH1 Storytellers. It was very strange to meet someone for the first time on stage, but I think she's awesome - she's so sweet."
  
  Lily Rose Cooper reverted back to her Lily Allen performing name for the release of her 2014 Sheezus album. She explained to Rolling Stone: "My name is Lily Cooper on my passport and stuff. I wanted to come back as Lily Cooper, but the label just weren't having it. They were like, 'No, you're Lily Allen.'"
• This song is about Pink's relationship with Carey Hart. She said: "I figured out that no one can push your buttons like your mother or your partner. I have a tattoo on my wrist that says 'True Love' with Carey's name under it. I think lyrically it's really funny and really honest."

• This is the fourth single from Pink's sixth studio album, The Truth About Love. The album was her first release since giving birth to daughter Willow in 2011. Being a new mom necessitated some big changes to Pink's usual recording schedule, which usually took place late at night over a bottle of wine. This time around, she hit the studio during the day and had to take breaks to breast feed the baby.
• Speaking to the LA Times, Pink said she considers this one of her worst singles "because it's mean." She added: "Carey's got thick skin, but I owe him a love song."
