  • The band's name stands for Payable On Death. It comes from a banking term that means when someone passes away, their belongings go to their heir. For the band, it refers to our sins being paid for when Jesus died - our life is our inheritance.
  • P.O.D. refers to themselves as "a band made of Christians," not a Christian band. They write music for anyone and everyone - not just believers.
  • They call their fans "Warriors" because they are so loyal.
  • Some of their influences include U2, Run DMC, Bob Marley, Bad Brains, and AC/DC.
  • P.O.D. is from San Diego, in a place nicknamed the Southtown. >>
