Songfacts®:

  • This faith-driven song was inspired by Rachele's upbringing as a Christian and the pressures to go astray. When asked what keeps her grounded when she's on the road, she said she reads scripture. In some Bibles, Jesus' words are highlighted in red.
  • Rachele wasn't convinced this song would be right for her debut album until producer Jamie O'Neal heard it and loved it. "When we got in the studio and everybody got that really kind of a gritty rockin' country feel, it just completely came alive," Rachele said in a Songfacts interview. "I'm really glad that she could have the vision for it as a final produced product. I don't even trust myself anymore on picking what songs are going to be the best produced. I just give them all to her. I'm like, 'Here, I wrote another one. You tell me.'"

Jamie O'Neal is a Country artist best known for hits like "There is No Arizona," "When I Think About Angels" and "Somebody's Hero." She enlisted Rachele to be the flagship artist for her record label, Momentum.
