Songfacts®:

  • Best known for his role of Grey Worm in the TV series Game Of Thrones, Raleigh Ritchie is also a singer-songwriter signed to Columbia Records. This song from his second EP, Black and Blue became a hit single in the UK thanks to an MJ Cole remix which featured in promotions for the new TV channel ITV Encore.
  • Raleigh Ritchie's real name is Jacob Anderson. His 'Raleigh Ritchie' performing moniker was inspired by Bill Murray and Luke Wilson's characters in Wes Anderson's The Royal Tenenbaums.
  • The song's music clip shows Ritchie getting blown off a park bench by a strong wind. He told Billboard magazine: "The 'Stronger Than Ever' video was a lot of fun cause I got to fly on wires and stuff. I think we used the wires that they used on one of the Superman movies! It was cool. It really hurts your ribs. They don't tell you that."
