Songfacts®:

  • This North African-flavored rocker was inspired by the 2003 invasion of Iraq by a United States-led coalition that included Tony Blair's United Kingdom. Robert Plant explained to Uncut: "When we were recording Mighty ReArranger, the question of whether Blair should be held responsible for the Iraq war was in the air. So out came Takamba. You can't just sing about reckless love."
