Songfacts®:

  • This finds Stewart cataloguing past reckless frolics. Uncut magazine asked Stewart whether the incidences he sings of in this song actually happened. He replied: "Yeah. I've walked in me underpants through the hotel. Most of this happened in the Faces days, when I went solo, because I felt I had to outdo the Faces, and be more outrageous."
  • Stewart told The Quietus that every line in the song is true except the one about getting tattoos. He added: "In fact I got my tattoos done when my dad passed on. I got a Scottish lion and a Scottish thistle in remembrance of him – I wasn't drunk. But a lot of mates have got regrettable tattoos while drunk."
