  • Roxanne Tataei is a half Iranian, half Jamaican singer-songwriter from southeast London who makes nourishing soul music with a twist. By the age of ten, Rox was traveling across Britain, performing with the National Youth Music Theatre. After forming her first band in 2007, she attracted interest from a variety of labels, before signing with Rough Trade.
  • This is her debut single, which Rox told BBC Radio 2's Steve Lamacq that she wrote around early 2008. She added its about "leaving a relationship and not wanting to go back to that situation."
