  • Asked about this track by The Sun, singer and bassist Mike Kerr replied: "We don't really design songs. It is only with hindsight that I realize what influenced it. It is a sort of psychedelic Weezer tune. It's fun."
  • When NME put it to Mike Kerr that tracks like this song, "I Only Lie," "When I Love You", and "Hole In Your Heart" make the How Did We Get So Dark record feel like a 'breakup' album, he replied:

"It's been three years (since the last album), you know? So I've had relationships throughout that period. It's a subject matter I love writing about. It comes quite naturally to me. I definitely don't believe in writing about one person in particular or one experience because it kind of ruins it. Talking about lyrics and explaining songs - to me, you sabotage your art."

  • Izzy from Liverpool, EnglandI don't think it's meant to be in any way related to this, but this song always low key makes me think of The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the whole idea of a woman creeping, a man not really listening to her, 'being what you want me to be'
