Songfacts®:

  • Rudimental's Amir Amor explained the story behind this song to BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens, saying, "We've been through a lot of ups and downs the last few years of touring and saying goodbye to family and missing home, so it's a song about sticking together and brotherhood."
  • The song features Ed Sheeran. Rudimental previously worked with the singer-songwriter on a remix of his x track "Bloodstream" and opened up for him on his Multiply Tour. The group explained to Huw Stevens that they played the track for Sheeran while touring with him in American and they wound up finishing it together in London.
  • Sheeran warned his fans this would be the last new material they'd hear from him for some time. "This is my final thing I'm releasing for a while," he tweeted. "Bad news if you like me, great news if you don't. We cater for everyone at SheeranCorp."
  • The black-and-white visual starts with the Rudimental quartet alongside younger versions of themselves. Interspersed throughout is footage of nuclear explosion, a military tank firing shots and varying individuals, including Sheeran himself, singing immersed by fog. "This video is a snapshot of our individual journeys through life," the band explained. "It's about creative expression, and how important love, friendship and family are to us."

Rudimemtal's appearance marks a career first for the band – they had never appeared in any of their previous videos.
