Songfacts®:

  • Two years after their "Keisha and Becky" collaboration, Russ Millions reunites with Tion Wayne for another cold joint. This time they pay tribute to an English girl called Fiona and an African girl named Adeola, who has a body shaped like a Coca-Cola bottle.
  • The pair continue to talk about their admiration for women and their sex lives throughout the rest of the track. They also threaten their opps and boast about their newfound fame and riches following their success with "Keisha & Becky."
  • Gotcha Bxtch supplied the bass-thumping beat. The producer also came up with the instrumentation for both "Keisha & Becky" and Russ' breakthrough single "Gun Lean."

Gotcha Bxtch explained to The Guardian that his production for "Body" has the "same tempo that Russ likes to jump on, but it had a few more elements like strings and vocals that really brought it out. But I would say a lot of the funness, the vibe is mainly from the artists."
  • Russ Millions and Tion Wayne recruited a host of rappers for a remix that dropped on April 22, 2021. The nine artists are (in order of appearance):

    Tion Wayne
    Russ Millions
    ArrDee,
    E1
    Bugzy Malone
    Fivio Foreign
    ZT
    Darkoo
    Buni

New York's Fivio Foreign is the only American rapper on the track. ZT and E1 are both members of Tion Wayne's collective 3x3. Buni is Russ' close friend.
  • When "Body" climbed to the top of the UK Singles Chart dated May 9, 2021, it became the first drill song to reach #1. It also became the first British hip-hop track to reach the summit of the Australian singles chart.
  • Part of Russ Millions' verse nods to jailed Brooklyn rapper Casanova.

Vi-Vi-- Vida loca (Bullet), high as a kite, never sober
Python, hit him with a Cobra
    Free up my bro Casanova

On December 1, 2020, Casanova was indicted on racketeering charges. He was among 18 alleged members of the Bloods gang Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation charged in connection with various racketeering, murder, narcotics, firearms and fraud offenses.
  • TikTok played a major role in popularizing the track, with several sound clips trending on the social app. One of them is an outfit transition' challenge where fans change clothes and dress like drill rappers when Millions references Casanova's imprisonment.
  • Tion Wayne included the 9-rapper remixed version on his 2021 album Green With Envy.
  • The "Body" remix came top of YouTube's list of music videos uploaded in 2021 that received the most views in the UK. The original version of "Body" placed at #7.
  • "Body (Remix)" won Song of the Year at the 2021 MOBO Awards.
