Songfacts®:

  • Saint Asonia is a rock "supergroup" led by former Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier. The rest of the group consists of Staind guitarist Mike Mushok, ex-Finger-Eleven drummer Rich Beddoe and journeyman bassist Corey Lowery. This is their debut single, which was released on May 16, 2015.
  • Adam Gontier co-directed the video with director P.R. Brown, who has previously worked with Stone Sour ("Say You'll Haunt Me") Slipknot ("Psychosocial") and Carrie Underwood ("Two Black Cadillacs") among others.

Regarding the clip's concept, Gontier said: "It's basically looking out at a few different people in different situations in their lives where they just finally, sort of, stop getting stepped on and end up in a better place. There's a few different ways that people will interpret the video, but it's a really, really cool idea and it's something that I don't think has really ever been done. So, yeah, I'm excited for people to see it and [to see] their reaction, for sure."
  • Saint Asonia means "The Saint of Tone Deafness." When About.com asked Mike Mushok who came up with the band's name, he replied, laughing: "Well it's funny because Adam had a list of words that he liked and asonia was one of them. We thought it was funny to use that word in a band name. For a band to call itself tone deaf is kind of ironic. Then somebody added saint and we thought it sounded cool."
