  • Sam Smith wrote this with BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe. "I was a bit sceptical when I first got the call, because I was like, 'He's a radio presenter,' Smith admitted to Digital Spy. "But then when you get in the studio with him, I don't understand why he hasn't been making music in the pop scene for longer. You've just got to listen to him on the radio to hear how much he loves music. So why the f--k shouldn't he be in the studio creating it? He knows his s--t and he's really good at what he does."

The funny thing is," Smith added,"when you're in the booth and he's speaking to you, it does feel like you're in a radio interview!"

Though best known as a radio and TV music presenter, Zane Lowe also has several writing and production credits including Chase & Status' "Count On Me" and Tinie Tempah's "5 Minutes."
