Songfacts®:

  • This piano ballad finds Gomez singing about the end of a relationship in which the person she was with is no longer recognizable. It was written by Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Badriia "Bibi" Bourelly, who is best known for penning Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money."

Gomez said during the Revival listening party: "'Camouflage' is the only ballad on the entire album. I wanted to just do that on purpose because this was me pouring my heart into something. And it's just very honest and real, and it's just me and a piano."
