Songfacts®:

  • In an October 1996 article in New Musical Express, interviewer Stefan De Batselier said of "The Na Na Song" that "Sheryl makes damning allusions to certain dodgy scenarios in the music business, explicitly naming [Michael] Jackson's former manager Frank DiLeo and his, ahem, 'dong.'" Crow herself said with a frown "I don't really want to comment on that". Crow was a backup singer on Michael Jackson's Bad tour.
  • "The Na Na Song" is basically a fairly unstructured jam halfway between "I Am The Walrus" and "Terminal Eyes"; sung in a female imitation of a Dylan-esque style, it is probably to Crow what "Solar Prestige A Gammon" is to Elton John. >>>
