Songfacts®:

  • This song was produced and co-written by The Smeezingtons, a production and writing trio consisting of Bruno Mars, Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine. The other co-writers were Jackie Boyz, who consist of two brothers, Steve and Carlos Battey. Amongst the duo's other credits are "Sugar" by Flo Rida, "Revolver" by Madonna and "Wear My Kiss" by Sugababes.
  • The song was originally intended for the twin sisters duo, Nina Sky, who recorded it for their second album. But when their project was delayed the song's writers offered it to Shontelle because technically the song didn't belong to Nina Sky.
