Songfacts®:

  • This high-energy banger finds Sigala reuniting with Ella Eyre, who also supplied the vocals on the DJ's 2017 single "Came Here For Love." He also joins forces for the first time with singer Meghan Trainor and rapper French Montana.
  • The carefree anthem finds Eyre, Trainor and Montana talking about living a luxurious lifestyle on a tight budget. Eyre kicks off the song by proclaiming:

I should grow up some day 'cause I got bills to pay
I can't be waking up at someone else's place
I know I drink too much, can't pay my rent this month
    I should be saving up

However, it soon becomes clear that the trio throw caution to the wind when they get their pay check. Eyre continues:

    I just got paid
    I'm broke, but I'm ballin'
    Don't know where we're going
We go in when we go out

Instead of saving, Eyre and the others prefer to go clubbing.
  • Nile Rodgers supplies guitar work. The American musician previously worked with Sigala on the DJ's 2016 single "Give Me Your Love."
  • Sigala, Meghan Trainor, Ella Eyre, Nile Rodgers and French Montana wrote the song with the London-based songwriting and production The Invisible Men, who are comprised of former members of the American rock band Orson, Jason Pebworth and George Astasio and one time member of Xenomania Jon Shave. The threesome's other credits include Jessie J's debut hit, "Do It Like A Dude" and Iggy Azalea's US chart-topper "Fancy."
