Songfacts®:

  • Sigala teamed up with singer-songwriter Paloma Faith for this summer anthem. The DJ and producer explained: "This was a track I initially wrote a while ago and I loved it immediately, but knew I needed to find the right person to collaborate on it with. I love to find unique voices, so it was a perfect match when Paloma got involved!"
  • It was a near-death experience that brought the pair together. Speaking to Capital FM's Roman Kemp's Paloma Faith explained: "We're both really into hot air ballooning - hot air being the operative word! We were both…in separate balloons and we had a near collision and we looked across at each other and we were about to go down and [Sigala] was like, 'I know it's really embarrassing but I've got this song right now but I really want you to feature on' and I was like ' yeah yeah yeah, whatever, everyone says that.'"
  • Sigala explained the song's meaning to OfficialCharts.com: "Lullaby is about always going back to that person who has stuck with you through all the highs and the lows. Ultimately it is a song about love, but I have managed to keep that word out of the title this time!"
  • This was Sigala's ninth single. Five of his previous eight had the word love or lovin' in the title.
  • The song's music video was directed by Craig Moore, who has collaborated with Sigala on most of his visuals.
