Songfacts®:

  • Lead guitarist DJ Ashba and bassist Nikki Sixx wrote this at Sixx' house. Ashba recalled to Artist Direct: "We were tinkering around with some chords and things. We stumbled upon it. I remember stumbling upon this weird and bizarre riff. We wrote it right there on the spot."
  • Nikki Sixx explained to Billboard magazine that on this song, "we talk about that moment when you first fall in love with somebody or something and you feel like you can't breathe. You're hyperventilating, and you love that feeling. It is like a drug, it's like, 'Wow, that's what drives us.' We're looking for that thing that takes our breath away."
