Songfacts®:

  • This song finds Stalley collaborating with Ty Dolla $ign. The Ohio rapper had actually finished his verses for the tune before deciding he needed someone to finish the hook to make it complete. "The first person that popped in my mind was Ty - just with his history and his father [Tyrone Griffin, who played in the funk band Lakeside] and him having the L.A. roots and all that," Stalley recalled to Billboard magazine. "He's a friend of mine, so I just shot him the record and was like, 'Man, would you get on this thing?'"

"He heard it. Right away he hit me back, he was like, 'Boy, this is crazy! I'm about to do this right now. Thank you for sending this joint!' And he killed it," he continued. "Like, killed it. I was like, 'Man, this is even better than I expected.'"
