Songfacts®:

  • This was to be one of the songs for the follow-up of Styx' 1990 Edge of the Century album "Son of Edge" (working title). Styx, despite a gold record and a #3 song ("Show Me The Way"), was dropped by A&M after the label was bought out. The music from "Son of Edge" has been re-recorded on Glen Burtnik's various albums, Styx' albums, and is performed in concert with the "Denny and Glenny" show (as Dennis DeYoung notes).
  • This song is the last known recording by Styx drummer John Panozzo, who died of a liver ailment in 1996.
  • Styx guitarist Glen Burtnik, who was Tommy Shaw's replacement, wrote this song with his friend Bob Burger. They also wrote the Styx tracks "It Takes Love to Make Love" and "Little Suzie" together.
