Songfacts®:

  • Superfood's Bambino album is chock-filled with samples, many of them of kids chanting. The band searched on YouTube for hours and hours to get the right ones. Frontman Dom Ganderton told NME:

"For 'Where's the Bass Amp?' we actually reached out to the mum who took a video of her three kids who'd just got back from summer camp - it was the chants that they learned at this place called Freedom School. We just sampled a little bit of it - it's got like seven views on YouTube - and I tried to email the woman but she didn't get back to me. One day she's just going to turn up - that's just a f---ing nightmare waiting to happen, isn't it? But yeah, it will be worth it, they can have all the money from it."
