  • Tech It Deep is a Dutch DJ and producer whose real name is Essam Jansen. He released his first single in 2015, and he has since released a number of EPs and remixes under his Tech It Deep moniker and also as Sem Vox. This is the title track from his debut album, Maria Maria.
  • "Maria Maria" is a straight-up club belter that takes elements of Santana's original, recrafting it for clubs. Tech It Deep released the single on November 25, 2023.
  • This track, an ode to blending genres, entered the UK singles chart dated April 23, 2023, after Tech It Deep licensed the single to Ministry of Sound. Radio 1 then started supporting the single on their dance shows and Capital Dance added it to their playlist.
  • This isn't the first time an artist has sampled "Maria Maria." In 2017, DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller recorded "Wild Thoughts," which heavily borrowed from Carlos Santana's hit tune. Their single reached the Top 10 in many countries, peaking at #1 on the UK Singles Chart.

Wyclef Jean, Juan Magan and Elephant Man are among the other artists who have sampled "Maria Maria."
