Songfacts®:

  • This is the lead single from New York Rock band The Bravery's third album, Stir The Blood. The record was birthed in an abandoned church located in some woods in upstate New York. Whilst the rest of the band came in and out, frontman Sam Endicott stayed in a neighboring house for several months while he produced Stir The Blood alongside John Hill (Santigold, Shakira). This was one of several songs that came about as Endicott picked through riffs recorded here and there over the previous couple of years.
  • The Ryan Honey and Orion Tait-directed video features a lost astronaut at an interstellar disco. Endicott told Spinner UK about its concept: "Synesthesia is when your brain sees music as colors. That is what my brain does, and these are the colors I see when I hear this song. As in the song, the astronaut is lost, searching for his angel. Except, in the video, she's a sexy space cyber solaris siren. In space."
