Songfacts®:

  • This is the second single from Manchurian indie rock band The Courteeners sophomore album, Falcon. Fans have commented the tune is the closest the band have come to a straight-ahead romantic song.
  • Frontman and songwriter Liam Fray told The Scottish News of the World that it is his favorite track on the album. "I knew it as soon as I wrote it," he said. "I just played it on the acoustic and knew it was going to be massive."
  • Fray said in the same interview that one of the main inspirations for his songwriting comes from his fascination with people-watching. "I'm a nosey little f---er," he admitted. "I like sitting on the bus looking at everybody and trying to figure out their stories."
