Songfacts®:

  • This sexy, slow song is the lead single from American singer and producer The-Dream, (real name: Terius Nash)'s fourth studio album, Love IV MMXII. He told Billboard magazine that the record blends the honesty of his 2011 mixtape 1977 with the more lavish fare of his commercial releases. "I found a way to put them both together," said Nash. "I'm a vulnerable guy, which is always been there, you know? Like, most of the time I put myself in positions where I am vulnerable, because I don't think you're living unless you do."
  • The sensual number finds Nash promising his girl plenty of good lovin,' bed shakin' and the next day body achin'. "Put your lips on my lips/ When I dip, you dip, we dip," he croons.
  • The music video was shot in Miami and features scenes in both a house party and an amusement arcade. Nash told Billboard the visual was very much done on the hoof. "It was really natural," he said. "I just wanted to have fun and go back to those 90s videos where it's always like you got the camera for the first time. Like, 'Oh s--t! Let's just shoot this s--t! Let's see what happens!' We had a house down there for one part of it, and another part, it was this theatre that has all these old games, like the ones that you would probably know from childhood," he continued. "We were walking in there just to go to a movie, and I was like, 'Hold up… oh s--t! This is old school! This is like Six Flags!'"
