The second daughter of musician and political activist Bob Geldof, she was found dead at her home on April 7, 2014 as the result of a heroin overdose.

    Badwan told The Sun: "I had to have a real conviction in what I was writing. It is very difficult to write lyrics because they are very personal. I don't like speaking about them."
