Songfacts®:

  • "Bright Lights" is a big, arena-ready song with a celebratory chorus centered on homecoming. A musical homage to The Killers' home city of Las Vegas, the band released it five days ahead of the start of their 10-date residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas strip.
  • "Bright Lights" is the first studio-recorded song featuring all four of The Killers' original members - Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer, and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. - since their Wonderful Wonderful album in 2017.
  • The upbeat track was written by Brandon Flowers and produced by Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado. Everett and Rado also worked on The Killers' 2020 album Imploding The Mirage and 2021 album Pressure Machine.
  • The music video, directed by Micah Bickham, shows the band performing the song on the Las Vegas residency stage. Bickham's resumé also includes directing The Weeknd's concert film Live at SoFi Stadium and several of Demi Lovato's videos.
