Songfacts®:

  • This rootsy Pop-Soul stomper serves as the lead single from UK indie rock band Noisette's third album, Contact. Dan Smith of the duo told Digital Spy its choice as single wasn't planned. "We found out about it when we were doing a soundcheck for a radio awards show," he explained, "and we hadn't included it in our set. We got a text saying, 'The single's changed, can you play it tonight?'" The song was released August 13, 2012.
  • Regarding the album title, singer Shingai Shoniwa told Digital Spy there are common themes in the lyrics that relate to it. "That was accidental as well," she said, "that a lot of our songs seem to involve making contact. Whether that's making contact with people, making contact with the night or going travelling. You only realise that after when you try to work out the tracklisting."
