Songfacts®:

  • "Coming For You" was first previewed on Radio Contraband on January 30th, 2015 and then posted onto Youtube and made available for digital download on the same day.
  • The song is The Offspring's first original release since 2012's Days Go By album, excluding the covers EP Summer Nationals released in 2014, which featured them covering Pennywise and ex-labelmates Bad Religion's songs. The Summer Nationals tour itself featured the band playing alongside these two bands, as well as Naked Raygun, Stiff Little Fingers and the Vandals.
  • Upon release, it was unclear if the single would be a one-off or a lead single for an upcoming album, but a tweet from Dexter Holland himself on the official Offspring Twitter page seems to hint at the former, due to the album being in an incomplete state: "We can't wait to get another album out as soon as we have enough songs" was his official quote. Whether "Coming For You" will feature on this album is unclear.
