Songfacts®:

  • The Panics are an Indie Rock band originally from Perth, Western Australia, and relocated to Melbourne, Victoria. The group came together out of a shared love of Manchester bands The Smiths, Happy Mondays and The Stone Roses, and they took their name from their favourite Smiths song, "Panic."
  • Singer and songwriter Jae Laffer told The Independent he was excited when he first heard this played on the radio. He said: "One of the biggest moments in my life is when I've walked past a building site and heard my voice coming out from behind the cement mixers with a bunch of really aggressive-looking men standing about."
  • This was used for the end scene of the Ugly Betty episode, "Tornado Girl" (which was the eighth episode in the third season of the show).
