  • The infectious pop groove of this song disguises the extremely sexual lyrics. The singer is "so excited" because she's looking forward to a sexual encounter.
  • The three Pointer sisters wrote this song with Trevor Lawrence, a saxophone player who is listed as an associate producer. Lawrence played the tenor sax on the track; Anita Pointer sang lead and Richard Perry produced.
  • This appeared in the movie Summer Lovers in July 1982, around the same time it was released on the So Excited album. Issued as a single, it went to #30 US, but in 1984 a new version of the song was released, this time climbing to #9.
