• Rascals singer Miles Kane explained to the New Musical Express that "Suspicious Wit" was only written before the trio had began sessions for their debut album in December 2007, and was inspired by a gig in Luton: "I wrote it after we played up there last year. I met this girl and arranged to meet her again, but every time we set something up it would go wrong. I was supposed to go to Brighton but our van broke down. The song really came out of her reaction, getting very suspicious, asking me if I wasn't make these excuses up but at the same time being really funny about it. She'll be really surprised when she hears the track."
