Songfacts®:

  • This song features Becky Unthanks' first songwriting credit on an Unthanks track. She told The Sun: "Songwriting has never really been on the agenda. Having said that, 'Flutter' has been with me a long time."

"It came about in my early 20s when there was a lot of things changing," Becky Unthanks added. "I was getting to grips with the struggle of letting something, go and then, the possibilities that might lead to. I wasn't brave enough to share it for a long time. Why would anyone be interested? But Adrian (McNally, chief songwriter) coaxed it out of me."
