"Thumb" finds vocalist Justin Young singing about a new girl called Eleanor whom might or might not be stringing him along. He told NME: "This song talks about the idea of starting something new and being under someone's thumb, funnily enough. It was the first one I wrote for the album."
  • Those of you of a certain age will probably recall the 1966 Rolling Stones "Under My Thumb," which upset some feminist groups because of Mick Jagger's lyrics about dominating a woman.
