  • The Vamps formed after the quartet found one another via demos on their respective YouTube channels. They initially came to the attention of the music business by uploading cover songs to the band's YouTube channel and signed to Mercury Records late in 2012.
  • The quartet started to grow a fan base by supporting pop-punk band McFly in early 2013 on their Memory Lane tour. Their debut single "Can We Dance" shot to #2 in the UK charts in October 2013.
  • The band's debut album, Meet The Vamps, was released in April 2014 and went to #2 in the UK and Ireland, and #3 in Australia.
  • The Vamps set up their own record label, Steady Records, in partnership with Universal Music and EMI Records, in 2015 ahead of the release of their second album Wake Up.
  • In 2017, The Vamps enjoyed their first UK #1 album with the release of the Night Edition of their concept album Night & Day.
  • The Vamps have been labeled a boy band since their early days. However, the quartet do not go along with this stereotyping, pointing to the fact that they write their own songs and play their own instruments.
