Songfacts®:

  • In Nordic mythology, Thor finds a sleeping giant name Skrymir. He couldn't let this giant sleep because his snoring was so loud it shook the forest. It would be best if this sleeping giant were left to sleep, unfortunately, Mr. Thor and his band even made a video for him.

Credited to John Shand, Willi Morrison and Ian Guenther - the same team who wrote the title track - "Sleeping Giant" runs to 3 minutes 30 seconds and is the second track on the 1977 Keep The Dogs Away album. >>>
