Songfacts®:

  • T.I. raps tales of weed and cocaine deals as he admits to struggles with falling back into his "trap," whilst A$AP helps the Atlanta MC battle those attempting to being him down. The song is a cut from T.I.'s eighth album, Trouble Man Heavy is the Head, which he told Source magazine was intended to supply listeners with music from a certain declining rap genre. "The main thing I noticed was that there was a shortage of gangsta s--t,' he revealed. 'That's what I came into the game admiring, and that was the genre I wanted to dominate: gangsta rap music. I felt like my genre was dying, you know? If not dying, extremely injured, in critical condition like a em's--ka. It just made me anxious to get out and do something to re-energize the soul of what we grew up listening to."
  • The beat was supplied by No I.D (Kanye West, Alicia Keys). It was T.I.'s first collaboration with the renowned Chicago producer.
