Songfacts®:

  • Originally released in 2016 as an acoustic recording from Tom Walker's debut EP Blessings, the Manchester singer revamped the track for his debut album What a Time To Be Alive. The new version is a dreamy, reggae-tinged track which was dropped on January 11, 2019 as the followup single to his breakthrough hit "Leave a Light On."
  • Tom Walker wrote this love song about his girlfriend Annie. By the time he rereleased the track they'd got engaged. He said: "'Just You And I' is about that amazing person in your life who you can tell anything to and is always there for you no matter what. Together you are better. That person for me, is my fiancé Annie, who's been with me from the start."
  • The video was shot in Southend-on-Sea, where the pier is famous for being the world's longest pleasure pier.
