Songfacts®:

  • This call out to a "top notch b--tch" is the third single by the Atlanta rap group Travis Porter from their debut studio album. The song features Young Money rapper Tyga.
  • The video for the song was directed by Alex Nazari and features cameos by Meek Mill and Chris Brown.
  • Travis Porter fans have had a long wait for the group's debut album because of label issues after they signed to the now defunct Jive Records in 2010. From Day 1 was finally released on May 29, 2012 through RCA. Travis Porter explained to Billboard magazine that the title is a nod to their fans. "This album is for our fans who have been down with us 'From Day 1,'" the trio said. "They watched us over the past 4 years come up out of Decatur, Ga."
  • Vocalist Jasmine Usher sued Travis Porter in October 2016, claiming she'd never received payment for her appearance on the hook. According to TMZ, Usher claimed that she was asked to step into the booth and sing the chorus while visiting the studio, but never received any money for her services. She demanded royalties and her cut of future profits from the song.
