Songfacts®:

  • Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto discussed the song in a track by track breakdown on his website: "BTS is sort of a continuation of songs like 'In Waves' and 'Black' but with a bit more aggression and more dynamics with the riffs (verse riff changes every two times around) and the vocals. As opposed to following the guitar part for the verses, the vocals jump between locking in and going off into its own rhythm completely, giving the part one more layer that isn't the same notes or rhythm."
  • Trivium played the song live for the first time on July 28, 2013 at the Rock The City festival in Bucharest, Romania.
