Songfacts®:

  • A track from Twisted Sister's breakout album Stay Hungry, "Burn In Hell" is sung from the perspective of the Devil, warning someone that he's going to join him down below if he stays the course. Dee Snider, who wrote the song, often used dark fantasy as an inspiration.
  • In the movie Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Twisted Sister appears in a scene where they're filming the music video for this song as Pee Wee Herman is being chased on the Warner Brothers movie lot. >>>

  • In a very strange turn of events, when the group was recording the basic tracks for this song at the Record Plant in New York City, the studio caught fire. They finished the album in Los Angeles.

  • Chad from Aple Creek, OhioI'm glad I chose the Christian path and avoided hell forever.
  • Pete from Brisbane, AuThis song, in my opinion, is one of those undiscovered album gems. It truly is heavy metal in every aspect. The re-recorded version from 2004's 'Still Hungry' album packs a much heavier, bassier punch than the original recording, and the guitar duelling is charging. Twisted Sister did not get the kudos they deserved during the 1980's, even when 'Stay Hungry' was popular. A driving, fast paced track worthy of any metal-head's ears.
